FAQ
Why is your competition cheaper?
They are not cheaper 99% of the time. The companies that are advertising 2.5 to 2.9 cent rates are marketing a teaser rate. It's a teaser rate because they are advertising the double billing rate which is they bill for the call into their phone system and then they bill for the call out to your office or they have different rates for each area and they are advertising the lowest rate.
Some of them also charge more for calls from within your state! That's called intra state billing. We advertise one rate 5.9 cents per minute and there is no hidden fine print or fees for normal calls anywhere with the 48 states. If we did the same advertising tricks as the competition our rate would be in the 2 cent range too.
And not to mention we donate roughly 17% of our profit to charity!
And we also offer all available features like call recording, call tracking, and customer service. If we didn't I could offer you a 1.9 cent "effective rate".
If you compare us to the other reputable industry leaders you will find we have similar pricing.
How long have you been in business?
We were incorporated in 2002, so it's been about 8 years. Charity800.com was just released recently though.
I haven't seen your service around when I searched a few weeks ago?
We used to be strictly a high end advertising call tracking service called DI call tracking. We now offer all the same high end features and service of that call tracking service as a toll free number service at a low competitive price.
Do you guys know what you're doing?
Yes we have been in the telecom and call center industry for 7+ years. We also work with the most experience carriers and service providers in the nation.
Is your system VoIP (voice over IP or SIP)?
Yes. But our primary server cluster is located in the same building as 20+ phone companies and we have a direct fiber optic connection into them. That means we have the benefits of voip without the downsides like (occasional bad sound quality).
Can I get a discount if I buy large amounts of minutes or numbers?
Yes. Our management team can give you a written quote based on how many you need. Can I take your order details down or would you like to talk to a manager?
How is your customer service?
We actually don't have sales people here because we belief that customer service starts from your first call to us. We're better then the phone company. You can call or email us directly. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and those hours will be expanding soon.
Can I port or transfer my current numbers to you?
Yes, we can port your current toll free or even your local numbers over to our service. The only reason we wouldn't be able to is if your current carrier doesn't allow this. There is a $20 charge for this which we bill after successfully transferring them. And you can transfer them out of our service anytime ($20 port fee will apply).
Can I request a vanity number that spells something?
Yes, I can take those requests and searches. If we find one available there is a $20 charge once we successfully reserve it for you.
Can I change the charity that I choose when I signed up?
Yes you can change this any time by logging into your account and going to the account info page.
Do I have to pay for Wrong number calls?
No we will credit you for wrong number calls.
Do I have to pay the telecom taxes?
No, currently we pay the taxes for you.
In whose name are the donations made?
They are made in Dynamic Interactive Corps name.
When are donations made?
Once a month we mail checks to the charities.
Can I change the numbers once I sign up and order them?
Yes you can change numbers anytime. If you have already published them we don't recommend this though.
Can I order more numbers after I sign up?
Yes you can add numbers any time after you sign up. The charge is prorated based on your monthly billing date.
When are my monthly fees billed?
They are billed when you first signup and then every month thereafter based on the day you signed up.
Is there auto bill so I don't run out of minutes?
Yes, by default when you sign up we turn on auto bill to charge your card when you get down to a $1 balance for $25. You can change the threshold and billing amount.
What happened if I run out of minutes?
If you run out of minutes and we can't get a hold of you, the numbers will be suspended and they won't forward. But once your account gets down to $5 we will call and email you.
What is double billing?
It's when a provider charges you for each leg of the call. The first leg is from the phone of the caller to their phone system and the second leg is to your office. This lets them advertise a low rate but when the bill comes you will be shocked.
What is intrastate or interstate billing?
Intrastate is a instate call. Interstate is a state to state call. Intrastate calls are more expensive because of federal taxes so some carriers charge a lot higher than their advertised rates for these calls but we don't.
Can I turn off call recording?
Yes you can. Recording is optional
Can I record calls without the recording notice?
Yes, but some states have laws regarding notifying the other party when you are recording a call. It's your account though.
